problemProblems are always and will always be a part of every man’s life. They say man does not exist without any problem at all.  Problems make life more challenging and more exciting. Problems remain realistic of life.  Though how much a person tries to forget and erase all of his problems, they always keep on coming back to his or her life.  It is never-fading and never-ending.

The question is, how does every man handle his problem/s?  And how does he learn from them? These questions actually depend on how one faces his problem.  Every person has a different approach in handling problems.  There are persons who have a hard time finding solutions to their problems.  And there are also people who tend to have no problems at all because they can easily solve their problems and even do not think that they have a problem at all.

Handling problems actually takes skills.  We have to know and understand our problem so that we can completely and easily solve it. May it be a work-related problem, family problem, love life problem or whatsoever.  There are problems that are hard to solve and there are some that can easily vanish in just a matter of hours or minutes.  Here are some steps to help a person solve his problem quickly and completely:

1. Always think that problems sometimes serve as a tool to direct us.  God loves us so much that He wants us to change whatever negative feelings, actions and behaviors we have in life.  He wants to motivate us to follow the right path and enable us to live according to God’s Holy Will. We also have to think that problems are a test of life. Failures and troubles come our way to test our faith in God and even to ourselves.  It tests our patience and courage. Problems’s ones overcome and solved, provide great feeling to man and make them stronger and even better. Problems also correct us because we learn from our mistakes.  We do not want to commit the same mistakes over and over again. Problems mold us to become better individuals in the eyes of man and God.

2. Evaluate the problem as a whole.  Get the specific details of the problem and gather the reasons why it happened.  We may jot down notes on the causes and effects of the problem.  Once the data are gathered, we can already think of possible solutions for the problem.  Again, we may also write down those solutions so that we can properly analyze them and make sure of the outcome. We can make a list of pros and cons for the possible solutions.  Closely study each idea and take into account the legal, moral or whatever consequences such a decision has to offer before making our final choice.

3.  Realize that not all problems can be solved through a simple YES or NO decision.   It requires deep thinking.  Research the subject matter thoroughly especially if it is a work-related concern. Gather your colleagues and arrange a meeting with them so that they too can suggest possible solutions for the problem.  In this way, coming up with perfect solutions will easily be attained and will be amenable to each of your colleagues.

4.  Understand that not all decisions result in a successful solution.  We must be ready to face whatever consequences may come our way.  We are only human beings.  We are not perfect.  Solving problems may be a trial and error thing.  There are times that what we think is right, is actually, not right nor not the best solution for the particular problem. We must prepare ourselves when this happens.  However, we should not surrender. We have to try and try until we finally could come up with the best solution to our problem. There is no harm in trying.  Experiment and think deeply so that in the end you can solve the problem.

With these simple tips, handling problems, in a way, would give a lesser burden to man. It lightens ourselves  and enables us to make life easier to handle. Just make God as the center of our lives and everything will be alright. Nothing is impossible with Him.
